No. They didn't actually believe they had disconnected it, but gave me the code free as a gesture of good will. Apparently you don't need to disconnect the battery for a service, so they say.
You dont need to disconnect the battery during a service, thats correct. How can Renault not know if they disconnected the battery or not ? Renault fitters (there not mechanics by a long shot) are monkeys at the best of time !
There just trying to cover up their mistakes. I'd demand to speak to the service manager and get them to fix the radio. Failing that a call to
Renault Customer Services
will sort it.
