I'm pretty sure my Vel Satis' park assist has developed a fault as it just beeps once when I put the car in reverse and the subsequent proximity beeps have ceased.
I know all about Renault charging about £70 per sensor, plus labour on top I presume. So I've been looking on
and seen some 6-packs of parking sensors, genuine Renault ones, suitable for Lagunas, Espaces and Vel Satis' apparently, for much cheaper prices.
I'm self-admittedly useless at most practical things but my dad's very good so I wondered if anyone's diagnosed their own park assist fault (i.e. found out if it was a wire or a sensor, etc) and replaced their own sensor fairly easily?
Either that (the DIY route) or I might buy the cheap sensors pack off
and then take it along to a local Renault specialist for them to work out the problem and fix it, working out cheaper than Renault doing it.
PS - Seen a couple of Hessian coloured Vel Satis on the M56 recently, including a taxi. Seems there are quite a few in the North West near Cheshire etc, more than other parts of the country where you hardly see any.
