Heh, if they did it the same way as the VW facelift in the early 90s, 95% of the info will be applicable, and I almost bought a Haynes for the ph1 Polo II just to cover the completely-identical bits they accidentally left out of the ph2 book (resorted to just snapping those pages with the cameraphone in halfords though :D). Vauxhall similarly - manufacturers do a lot of these clever-clever facelifts with minor mechanical updates (e.g. adding fuel injection or going from single -> multipoint, 8v -> 16v, improving the brakes etc).

You've just got to keep a weather eye out for the 5% that's crucially different...
