For those of you who had to settle through the insurance, the re-assurance in their settlement for my case is that it was only because I / we were buying two new Renault Clios (new models) did they offer this gesture.
Renault UK confirmed that the gesture would NOT have been offered if we had not done so!! So what I am saying is that my case had some different factors resulting in the settlement.
Keep the pressure onto Renault UK - don't let your guard down and keep everything documented...It may take time and energy to see a good result. It really is down to whether the affected parties have the urge and energy to drive their quest!!
