Thanks - it is a possibility but I believe that all U.K. models have this feature disabled due to the legislation covering the use of hazard lights whilst in motion.
Last time I posted this problem there were a couple of suggestions about shorts/dodgy bulbs in the lighting circuit - I have checked as far as I can in and around the light clusters but see nothing obvious.
To me its seems as if something is loose/touching causing a spike and triggering the hazards.
If I gently touch the brake pedal whilst stationary the hazards will come - touch it again and they will go off.
so this does seem to me like something in a logic board/circuit getting a pulse/signal it shouldn't. I want to check the brake light switch but damned if I know where it is.....
