Its not the starter motor. Its now a weird issue which has seem to have stumped everyone.
It has happened a few times after replacing the starter motor and the way to start the car is to hit the alternator with a bit of metal while starting it up. After first hit it starts straight away....
Everyone I have spoke to says its rubbish and they never heard of that, but it works it gets the car running again.
Only thing I can think of is when hitting the alternator with the bit of metal is its earthing it or something along those lines. But again everyone says they never heard of it.. Has anyone on here heard or had the same issue?
hmm weird lol.
do you have jump leads? try connecting one to the negative battery terminal and to a clean metal part of the engine. if it starts then it sounds like an earth problem.
