TBH vehicles being repainted (either partially, or in full), is not that uncommon.

Cars get damaged in transit, covered in bird droppings when in Vehicle Holding Compounds, Mayfly damage, pollution, etc.

However, what IS important, is that these repairs should maintain the integrity of the factory's paint shop, and be completely undetectable.

I was comissioned to inspect a clio 197, last year for a client who bought the car as an ex-demo, then noticed paint mismatches - turns out the dealer's bodyshop had done 'blow-ins' over panels which had been lightly scuffed.

Car was replaced, after the owner, quite rightly kicked up a major fuss (armed with my report).

Best of luck with this.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
