Its an interesting topic. Speaking from my personal opinion I think the biggest issue is the complexity of the data involved - there are so many variations of which part is appropriate to which vehicle that presenting this in a way that could be reliably used by someone who doesn't have expert experience would be tricky and probably very expensive. We do provide information on accessory part numbers etc on our website but even these still need to be ordered from dealers.
Noel mentions independent garages and we do have a system that allows them access to this information, via their main Renault dealer (though many of them still prefer to pick up the phone). We don't have an offering for public use and I'm not aware of any plans to introduce one.
