On my van, if you hold the fob button down for a second or so, the alarm sounds a bip. This indicates the internal sensors are off. So you can leave a pet/child/granny in the vehicle without their movement within the vehicle setting of the alarm!!! The doors are all locked though.
If you press the alarm only momentarily the alarm is on with internal movement sensor on. (no grannys to be left inside in this condition... unless totally asleep)
