Day running lights on Megane MY2000?

First post here, so go easy on me!

I've just had my year 2000 Megane 1.4 16V Liberte into Sunwin Renault, Preston, for a free health check (no problems at all here) and also to see if they could configure the car for day running lights.

All I want is to have side and dipped headlights on whenever the car is running, but this age of car can't be done as a software upgrade. The only way of doing it is to hard-wire a relay or relays to switch on the lights.

Any electricians / electrical geniuses out there who can help me out with where to wire these said relays? Where would the power supply be best taken from? And would it be feasible to connect it to the handbrake light switch so that the lights are on only when the handbrake is off????

Thanks in anticipation for your help

Currently in mikeholroyd's garage:
2005 Skoda Octavia Elegance 1.9TDi & 2002 Seat Leon 1.6S. Both cars on K9 number plates for the dogs!
