Brakes 'humming' after replacement

Hi everyone,

The other week I had the front discs and pads replaced on my megane and since then I get this horrible (what can only be described as some sort of humming) sound when driving.

Initially it only happened when accelerating or going up hill but now it seems to happen all the time. The strange thing is that the sound will stop if I turn the steering wheel either side but when I straighten up the sound returns.
It also stops if I press the brake pedal and depending how hard I brake affects how long the sound is gone for. If I gently press the pedal the sound returns as soon as I let go but if I brake quite hard the sound doesn't come back for 10 or so seconds.

Any help is very much appreciated.
