Hi and welcome to the forums.

It is entirely possible that the car as standard only has an immobiliser fitted and not an alarm.

Its going to be cheaper to go down the route of an aftermarket alarm than it is to get Renault to fit one.

Cobra alarms are good value for money and if you get the correct model (not the bog standard model) will interface into the central locking system then you can unlock and disarm the alarm with one plip from the alarm fob.

In my experience alarms arent really a job for the diy-er unless you know what your doing. I'd expect a professionally fitted alarm to set you back about 150- 200 all in.
