I rang Europcar's customer service again and the woman I was talking to has now told me that in the report it states that I brought the car back WITH the spare wheel on and a flat orginal in the boot!!

And me being so bl@@dy trusting I never thought to take and photos of the empty spare wheel and also she asked me did I get the fella to write on the check sheet that no spare wheel was in the car which I didn't as he said thanks for informing him and he'd get it sorted. All I have is his signature on the check sheet.

Since I have no written proof it looks like to me that Europcar are going to try and worm their way out of this.

Is there any Ombudsman I can take my complaint to?

Even if (Ha!) I get my refund I'll never deal with Europcar again.
