Try freeing the bled nipple first as using the flexi doesn't mean you'll get all the air out. Should the nipple break - you can then use the flexi if needs be. I have never seen a broken caliper bleed leak in my lifetime. A good clean with a wire brush, a few light taps on the end with a hammer, a very gentle heat and loads of releasing agent may just do the job.
What you have to remember is that brake calipers disapate a lot of heat from the pads and any presence of air will only make matters worse - AGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! - who put that wall there
