spring, went with a loud crack yesterday as I was reversing off the drive, car dropped a couple of inches, couldn't drive the car as the knacked spring was sticking in the tyre.
I got a new one from andrew page auto factors £46 and fitted it, I was a bit quicker this time
just under 2 hours.
Looking at the broken
it looks like an identical break to the OSF.
Are they making these springs out of peanut brittle
Never had one go on the older cars iv'e had.
Just another page in the catalogue faults Iv'e had with this f@@kin laguna.
Yeah I'm afraid this isn't just a Renault issue its an issue that effects most european manufactured cars we bought a 4 year old Focus 2 months ago and the front spring went 3 days later thankfully they did both under warrenty. You should replace both at the same time ideally. From the stories I've heard and my own experience the springs go more often when the car is parked of been standing for a while hence yours in the garage.
