laguna sat nav problem

hi dstorm thanks for the reply. Can you clarify that by disconnecting the GPS aerial that you break a + positive voltage supply and power down the CD ROM unit as the unit now appears to be dead (no LED lit up) and CD won't eject. (I think I read somewhere that it should supply 4.5v - not 100% sure) Thats why I wanted to confirm if the unit is fused separately. Assuming the worst case scenario you discribed is there any scope to repair unit, or re-instate memory. Also, if it is a total loss I not to bothered but can the screen be replaced with another to show clock, radio tempeature readouts etc.
