That happens with a lot of seat belts, doesnt it??? Usually due to over-zealous tugging of the belt by the clip, and the belt twists as it goes thorugh the clip.
If it is the same as happens to me (usually back passenger seat belts and overzealous kids) then you simply have to try and start to run the belt through the clip but have it folded over on itself and try to run the double thickness fold through the clip....and the clip ends up on the other/correct side.
