xcuzme you should always clean your alloys first before anything else otherwise the muck from your wheels and tyres can splash on to your clean paintwork.

Yes your quite right and I stand corrected.
It should be done first,however ,saying that I was in a hurry when I washed my car last week and did the alloys last because it was threatening to rain and I was more interested in shifting the bird poo off it than clean alloys which I could do any time.
It didn't rain so they got done last .
I will say though that the trick with the tar spot remover and then hose off works a treat .
I took the car out a half hour after they were done and there were no streaks or throw back from them on the car at all!!
