OK folks, not sure if this is common knowledge but I imagine it may be, just in case it isn't here goes:
I started cleaning my sunroof seals today to make sure they weren't leaking and got fed up with not being able to get at it all,
then I noticed how to remove the sunroofs for a detailed clean of the glass and seals.
1 - open the sunroof.
2 - slide the red tab on the s/r lifting mechanism toward the rear of the car.
3 - the sunroof is now unlatched if you push it up, you can now (VERY CAREFULLY) tilt it upwards and lift it out.
(please don't drop it on your paintwork, or worse drop it and smash it, that would be dumb.)
Clean the sunroof with a wet cloth, especially the edges where dirt may have stuck and compacted.
Give the rubber seal a very, very good clean.
I don't think I need to tell you at this point how to put them back in......just do it carefully LOL.
Reckon this should maybe be done every 6 months...
