I take it the garage in were able to clear all the stored faults from the ECU 's memory. Due to Renaults quirky software not all diagnostic systems can do so. It may also help if the garage could tell you exactly what fault codes are showing.
As far as I remember the ight is not a bulb as such but an LED and if removed may cause further electronic problems in the system although you could strip the dash panel out and maybe get an electronics engineer to replace the bulb with a suitable resistor but in all honesty all you would be doing is hiding the problem.
One other possibility is that there is a poor connection in the ECU wiring loom
