That's exactly the same type of feedback process that Ford uses for developing Technical Service Bulletins and if necessary, recalls.
No matter how thorough the R & D process is, there will always be a particular set of conditions which are unique and may cause unusual behaviour.
The breakthrough really is the fact that a back to back road test has shown a problem with your car, and the dealer is on the ball.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
