I had a similar nightmare with the driveshafts on my Safrane. They had to be beaten out, and heated and grinded into submission.
Not a job for the impatient.
Tell me about it
It took 4 hours to get as far as I did.
I thought I would have to split the nut at one point.
When my Lag shafts went I took it into a stealer to have them done (I could afford it then but can't now) and they had no hesitation in getting the oxy torch on it. So much so that I was back 3 weeks later to have the wheel bearings done. Yep they had melted the grease out of them
DOnt last long when the're dry
