I went to start my clio yesterday morning (2003 1.2 16v) and nothing is happening. When I turn the key the engine doesn't turn over at all.
I have reveiwed this great forum and tried a number of the suggestions such as:
Try Spare Key
Check Battery - tried jump leads. Battery seems ok.
Check fuses - I have changed the engine immobilser fuse but that hasn't helped.
All the lights are appearing correctly on the dash but turning the key does nothing, no sound except a clicking noise coming from behind the fuse box area.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I could try next as it is a Bank Holiday weekend and I need to get out and about ;(
maybe the starter motor has seized up? ive seen this happen on 2 clios both 1.2.
Try putting the car in second gear and rocking it about, might just free up the starter(if it is that) has worked for me in the past.
