Hi. If you look at your front windscreen by thr rear view mirror you should see the sensor that controls the automatic lights. It also controls the automatic wipers aswell.
The automatic light feature can be activated or de-activated as your daughter has shown you!!
To activate/de-activate with the ignition on you have to switch the lights on and off twice in less than two seconds( I think). You should then hear a beep to confirm. Even with the automatic feature on you can still switch them on manually if needed.
I knew the car had the sensor for the auto wipers, I presumed the auto lights would use the same sensor but given that there is no reference to auto lights in the car I didn't think the car had auto lights.
