The spanner/service light indicator is also time related. It probably came on at 11k because it was 2 yrs since the car left the factory. If the supplying dealers do not reset the timer/mileage indicator at point of sale when brand new this often happens with nearly all makes of car, as I don't know of any garage that reset the service indicator on a brand new car when they sel it.
