CD Auto Changer Problem

I've got an Alpine CD auto changer (factory fitted under the passenger seat of my 2004 Grand Scenic 1.9 dCi Privilege) which no longer works:
- The head unit is fine for radio and the internal CD.
- The head unit does not detect the auto changer.
- The eject button on the auto changer does not work (so I can't even remove the CD cartridge)

I assume that one of three things has gone wrong:
(1) There's a loose cable.
(2) There's a lack of power.
(3) The CD auto changer has died completely.

Does anyone know how the CD autochanger gets its power? Is it powered off the head unit, or does it have a separate power connector? The electrical circuit diagrams in my Haynes manual don't include the CD autochanger, so I don't even know what fuse(s) to check.

Can anyone help please?
