Hazards and auto door locking

Aside from my judder/vibration problem my new (to me) '55 plate grand scenic 2l auto has a couple of niggly little problems.

1) Occasionally when i start the car the hazard light start, they turn off via the switch fine, this doesn't happen at any other time only occasionally when starting - am I missing a trick?

2) An auto door locking fault has arisen - It should auto lock the doors after 7mph is reached but doesn't (the dash also notes this fault) (I know you can turn it on and off by holding for 4 seconds - tried this - makes the bleep on/off noise but doesn't make it work)

Any help on the above would be great - I can live with the faults but if it's something straight forward (read free) then may as well correct it.

Thanks in advance
