Good advice madnoel but I think that better battery connectors were fitted then than they are today as Fudgie and myself have found that the clamps after a time seem to stretch and no amount of tightening makes for a tight connection even after tapping the clamp to make sure that it is at the bottom of the post taper.

One thing I noted is that you use a spray grease and "grease" should not be used on battery terminals only vaseline or petroleum jelly, so is this a universal spray that you use
