Hello and welcome to the forum.
Have you had the car long?.Someone may have removed the airbag warning light bulb to mask a problem in the system before you bought it.Do you have a light saying 'SERV' come up when you turn the ignition on and does this go out within a few seconds on the engine being started?.If you do,then it could be just the airbag bulb has blown,but if neither the airbag or SERV lights come on,then the bulbs have probably been removed.
I'm not 100% sure about the rev counter to be honest,but I think the common cause of that is a fault in the dash board it's self.Thinking about it,the two things could be connected.
I'd check the bulb in the air bag light and go from there.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
