I'm pretty sure the 3.0 dCi is an Isuzu unit, not a Nissan, although that should speak similarly for its reliability.

That said, the 2.2 dCi seems to be a fairly solid unit - I wouldn't say its incidences of turbo failure exceed that of most other modern common rail diesels, unlike the 1.9, and the only really common fault appears to be the cracking intake manifold, which is comparitively cheap to sort.

Is the 2.0 dCi 150 or 170 not available in NZ? Because that really is a fantastically smooth engine for a 4cyl, seems very durable and should be a fair bit more economical than the 3.0 in either form.
