My wife's '06 Clio has started squeaking from the front right hand wheel.
This only happens in a straight line.
It's disappears when you turn the wheel and/or apply the brakes.
Now, I know the pads will require replacement soon.
I suspect, maybe, that because of the worn pads, the caliper pistons are coming out farther than normal, and not retracting properly.
So the pads are effectively 'rubbing' on the disc all the time.
Does this sound likely?
Would new pads cure this, or would the caliper pistons need cleaning too?
Is it opposed piston calipers, or sliding pins (pistons at one side only?)
