It may be worth getting the battery load tested. Voltage isn't always a good indication of battery condition. A car battery output is measured in amp/hours. I have seen batteries show 12.5 volts on a voltmeter but wouldn't start the engine.
Think of it this way. If you joined 8 "AA" torch batteries you could get a reading of 12 volts but they sure wouldn't be capable of powering the lights on a car never mind starting an engine. I have also came across car radios that have a fault and drain more power than needs be
