I know what you mean. I didn't start quoting forums til my car had been at the garage for 3 weeks though. It was with then 4 weeks in total and they always took days to get back to me with quotes or ideas and one of two things they did surprised me as they went against common knowledge/advice, but I kept quiet and didn't complain.

When I picked my car up, they said "we wish all our customers were like you", so it's odd how they seem disinterested now. But I did come across one other of their new customers and he too came away very downbeat, he too having had to wait weeks and for a high cost/expense.

I feel kind of helpless now though, as I don't know where to turn regarding the other things I want sorting on the car. The local Renalt dealers don't cost that much less than this independent I've been talking about, but deep down I know the cost at a stealer will probably come to more ultimately. I can't find any other good indie's though. As it's a gearbox issue, I'm wondering about taking it to a local gearbox specialist, but then if they need to order any specialist Renault parts, it may prove tricky?
