If the replacement head unit fits neatly in the existing slot without any bodging you should be able to replace the original afterwards.
It is possible to buy ISO adaptors which fit on the new unit so you can retain column controls.
id need to get an ISO adaptor for the head unit itself anyway so would i need a separate one for the column controls?
the manufacturer fitted stereo has 4 holes in each corner so it looks like it should come off.
