I assume you mean the 1.5dci engine.

The things that I'd be checking are the service history (preferably by a main dealer), has it had its services on time and with the correct
etc. Check or excessive smoke coming from the exhaust (never a good thing) while test driving it and for things like hesitation through the rev range and lumpy idling.
Also it should have had a cambelt change, or it may be due very soon. Cambelts need changing at either 72k miles (normally) or 5 years old, whichever comes soonest. Check everything electrical works too.
Also consider a warranty on the car incase things go wrong. Stuff like Air Con compressors /
's are very expensive - but make sure you read the small print on the warranty very carefully to check what is and isnt covered.
