True facts in the case of the iffy brake pipe:

1. You're right - the MOT Tester missed the corrosion, and I shall be connecting boot to fleshy parts some time in the near future

2. No tramps actually died, and neither am I still driving round and round waiting for the petrol to run out - gears, hand brake and what little pressure left in the system brought me to a safe halt

3. Still love my Scenic. The Nissan-driving wife hates it

4. Shout out to Martins Renault in Basingstoke - always great service

And YES: The letter's about the irony that when the brakes failed, a light came on telling me to stop. There's nothing so unfunny as analysing humour...
