Hi it will either be the switch or the relay that have failed on the open position?,for a temp fix until you get another switch or have it tested put the fuse back in remove the switch and unclip the wiring connection block that is running to the back of the switch and if the hazards then stop blinking that should point you into the direction of the switch needing replaced,this seems to be a soft spot for most Renaults and i don't think there not that expensive to replace? you could always by a second hand switch from your local breakers,
