I have spent a number of hours on the car today and discovered that the blue wire that is going to the battery in the pictures and is then wrapped around the engine doesn't actually go anywhere so i have removed it.

I then started feeling more confident that the wiring might be ok until i inspected the plastic sheaths. Various sections of wire have insulating tape round them as if the wire has been cut for one reason or another. Could someone have attempted to disable the immobiliser??

I don't seem to have an immobiliser light on the dash either which seems a bit strange as the manual indicates there should be one above the temperature guage??

This is all a mystery to me but i will be an expert on Lagunas by the time i have finished!!!!
