Unusual pricing system

The auxilliary belt tensioner was faulty on my Laguna so I rang Renault for a price.

The guy said he might be able to get one and he thinks they were about 80.00 ish, But if I wanted to buy the full kit he had those in stock.

The kit consists of the tensioner complete with roller, The idler roller and a new auxilliary belt for the price of 46.00

I have a receipt in my old car documents for a new idler roller that cost me over 30.00 on its own a couple of years ago.

So perhaps Renault spares prices aren't too bad after all.

The moral of the story is Try your main dealer before searching the motor factors websites you just might be pleasantly suprised

PS the idler roller that I took out was 3/4 Knackered as well so a great result.
Currently in planmeca's garage:
Renault Laguna 1.8 16v x 2 and a lot of other things. could really do with a tidy up to be honest I'll do it tomorrow
