Battery light comes on then engine cuts out
I have had my Scenic nearly 7years now.
Recently now and again the battery warning light would come on and the revs would drop when stopping at a junction or when taking foot off clutch, then the engine would cut out.At first this would only do this when the engine is in the warm up stage then once normal operating temp it would be fine.
But now it does it very frequently so I took it along to Renault and they told me it was the downward oxygen sensor along with a corroded connector.I have had the sensor replaced and connector by an independent garage and unfortunatly this has not corrected the problem.
Has any one else experienced this please? as i am desperate to get this fixed as it is dangerous when getting to a roundabout and then cuts out.
