A few years ago a lot of motorbikes were being brought into the country as grey imports. They generally had speedos that read in KPH. To save a lot of money on changing clocks many motorcyclists bought stickers 30, 40 50 60 and 70 and stuck them on the dials at the appropriate places so you wouldn't fall foul of the speed limits.
Not as neat or professional as changing the clocks or some electronic reprogramming (if possible) but so much cheaper and easier.
Hope this is of some use.
People who think they know what they're doing are especially annoying to those of us who do.
