The fact the engine bump starts means the immobiliser is coming off and the engine is getting fuel. The problem could be down to a duff battery, poor connections or such and it's very unlikey the diagnostics may find such a problem anyway. Personally In my opinion if it were mine I would take it to a good independent garage first with the proviso they don't spnd more than "X" amount money on diagnosis.
If you can get the car to run it may be worth going to a decent battery supplier (I would recommend you don't use the likes of Halfrauds, etc). Many such suppliers will do a free battrey load test and alternator test in hope of making a sale
