i did this too after trying a different method using a wire repair kit, that was bought from e-bay for £20 but didnt work out as one of my cables was broken and i didnt get the measurement right,
bought the full assembly - motor and had it fitted in 45 minutes (2nd time i had the door in bits so it was pretty straight forward).
i was quoted £271 from a renault specialist ( this included the motor) but as the motor is OK then i reckon even with the £20 i wasted first i have still saved £195 on what i was quoted.
get the part and if you dont like the idea of doing it yourself find a local garage to do it for you, should only be 1 hours labour.
good luck all
