Is the leaky arial hole very common? I'm not going to have another leaky renault, that novelty wore off pretty quick with the Clio.
I think so mate. TBH you dont get a torrent of water in like you do with most leaks etc, just a few drips IIRC.
The fix to the leak is to take out the interior light and if you look up you will see the bolt holding the aerial onto the roof. Put Silicon all over / round the nut the leak should be stopped. That what I did and it worked a treat, but didnt solve my central locking drama's. Hence why I admitted defeat and had an alarm fitted that did the central locking for me.
Of course by 2000 Renault may have redesigned the ariel seal to avoid the leakage. However if you look at this forum, I think most renault models have leaks.
