Hi. Just changed mine on a 6 speed box. Nightmare to get off as access not good. Easiest way is to break the plastic then use a 24mm socket unless you have a deep reach. The new ones from Renault have a smaller hex section but it can be tightened up by hand then nipped the last bit with a spanner.

Before committing yourself you can test if the switch is broken despite not being able to get your fingers and multimeter leads in there and still see what you are doing; simply make a jump cable and link the connector terminals on the lead. Keep linking two till the reverse lights come on, if they do, but not when connected and in reverse; replace the switch. Renault part is 19.69 inc VAT. Laters
