Hi, I've read this thread with great interest as my girlfriend's auto 1.6 Scenic is currently suffering from "turns over but won't start" syndrome. Useful pics, and I'm planning on having a crack at this maybe over the weekend.
However, I was under the impression that automatic gearboxes used a liquid coupling to feed power to the driven wheels, rather than a physical clutch? Wouldn't this also mean that the chance of filings from the clutch or flywheel being picked up by the
sensor is essentially nil? Or could a Scenic with an auto box still have this
problem? I'm planning on checking anyway as it looks easy enough (I hope, with my limited experience and equipment), this is more of a curiosity question.
