Thanks for the hug Defo not 'man flu'. It's myself, the wife, and two of the kids (all on Tamiflu). I've got all the symptoms, and I mean all . I thought man flu was bad but this is something else entirely, over the worst now though I think

IMO (in my opinion). IMHO (in my honest opinion)

Performance of the 1.6/1.8 will be slightly better than what your currently used to but not enough to beat the boy racers at the lights Not really much difference between the 1.6 and 1.8 as far as I can tell. Both average the mid to high 30's MPG (mixed driving).

I'd personally go for a 2.0T if funds permit, more powerrrrrrrrr That's just me though, I'm a petrolhead, just look below
