I cant commment on Saab, but i've owned fords & had my laguna for nearly 2 years now.

I would buy a ford again....renault not so much.

In its class. I personally think the laguna is the best looking & best equipped (when compared to likes of mondeo's and vectra's) car out there.

But maintenice in the long run may be dearer on a laguna than a ford, i prefer mine to a mondeo for the comfort and gadgets. but if you want a "sporty" drive then the laguna isn't the one, steering just feels numb on these cars.

Overall would recommend a mondeo over a laguna purley I reckon you know where you stand with always playing a guessing game when things go wrong with my laguna. currently tackling issues with the ABS light on the dash which renault want 370 to sort. :-(
