Like others who have gone before me, I would expect a '99 service' to include oil , filters, pads, sparks, check fluids, check brakes and general wear and tear.

Now, for a full service I would expect the above and a check of absolutely everything from mirrors and number plates to lubricating the door hinges etc!

Major service, well......all the above and then some, brake fluid replacement, coolant replacement, fuel filter replacement!

Personally, however, I've never had a car serviced in a garage as I've done the basics myself, oil /coolant/sparks/filters etc. I'm capable of visually inspecting most parts myself also. However, if I were to buy a newer car with full service history then I would probably pay to have a garage service the car to keep the log 'full'

Currently in scatz's garage:
2004 Subaru Legacy GT Spec B, a 2013 2.0 TDCi Titanium X Sport S-Max and a 2001 Honda NSR125R
