A minor service to me is an oil & filter change, air filter replacement, visual check of the integrity of the mechanicals, and personally I check for play in suspension components and brake wear, etc at the same time.

I get National Tyres to do the oil change though as once you take into account the cost of buying decent synthetic oil (they use Castrol Edge) & a filter, it already costs what they charge me for the job, plus they do a full flush. I can't really figure why people lay on the road getting filthy like that to not save any money
